When creating our handbags we look to architecture, art, nature and traditions of handcraft. Misu was born from a journey of discovery, craftsmanship and heritage. As Head of Design Elise and Founder Tina explored Italy in search of new materials, they crossed paths with a French artisan and an Indian factory owner.
Inspired by their craft and love for all things woven, Elise and Tina looked to their own Scandinavian roots. Their handcraft reminded them of home - of old Scandinavian baskets, of birch bark worn soft with time. They reimagined the beauty of these baskets into a woven leather bag. A blend of tradition and function, designed to be part of your everyday moments.
